Sealants

The chewing surfaces of the mouth, mainly the molars (back teeth), experience the most wear and tear among teeth. This is of particular note for children, whose diets often include sugary drinks and juices that eat away at the enamel. Sealants are applied to the most vulnerable teeth to prevent tooth decay and cavities for years to come. They do this by acting as a protective layer against food and germs that cause decay and disease.
